The unit brews a good cup of coffee but the quality of the unit is very poor. Cheap plastic and the machine now shuts off during brew cycle and you contiually restart to brew a full pot
I got this coffee maker a year or two ago, and I like it. It keeps the coffee hot for a long time and it doesn't change the taste of the coffee if it sits for a while. Getting the lid on the pot just right took a try or two the first time, but now it doesn't trip me up at all. It's also easy operate as far as turning it on and programming it to start brewing at a certain time.
I've owned this coffee maker for about 2 years. Problems: - carafe lid requires fooling around with to make it fit right- carafe drips onto counter every time we pour a cup of coffee- it is a little awkward to fill the water container so we often spill some water around the coffee maker- the filter basket has a gizmo on it that doesn't stay popped onAnd, now, the coffee maker no longer makes a full pot of coffee, shutting itself off after there is just an inch or so of coffee in the bottom of the carafe. When we push the on button, it will again make about an inch of coffee and shut itself off.
We've had this coffee maker for about nine months. In the past couple of months, the lid has broken off and is now falling apart. It was originally purchased because I desired a coffee maker with a thermal carafe, but without all the bells and whistles. Unfortunately, the carafe has always leaked and it has been getting worse with time. We're two adults that are very gentle on this appliance. It should have lasted much, much longer.
Also it is somewhat awkward to fill. My main criteria for buying this coffeemaker was the fact that it had a thermal carafe. The carafe lid is not easy to insert correctly despite the directional arrows. I was under the impression that I was ordering a black coffeemaker, but the one I received was white. As a result the water line markings are in white and very difficult to read. Honestly, the only reason I'm keeping it is because the only other coffeemakers with stainless steel carafes I can find are way too expensive because of all the "bells and whistles" on them. I just want a regular coffeemaker with a thermal carafe to keep the coffee hot without turning bitter by sitting on a hot plate.
